- You are pursuing a scientific or engineering degree (physics, medical physics, biomedical engineering, applied computer science, mechatronics or optics)

- You are reliable, have an interest in new diagnostic procedures and enjoy working in teams

Internship/ Bachelor/ Master thesis in cell biology
At the Bad Langensalza site, the Department of Cell Biology is looking for an intern or Master’s student to join the team in fall 2025.
Current research topics include
- Biomarker screening for veterinary tumor diagnostics.
- NGS-based diagnostics of pathogens for hygiene monitoring
- Application development for fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry
Your qualifications
- You are enrolled in a natural science course of study in the field of biology/human biology/molecular medicine or biochemistry/biotechnology/pharmaceutical biotechnology.
- You have good knowledge with initial practical experience in common biochemical (SDS-PAGE, Western blot), immunological (ELISA, immunofluorescence), microbiological, cell culture (sterile work) and molecular biological methods (primer design, cloning).
- You are proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- You are inquisitive, interested in challenging tasks and want to make your contribution in a motivated team.
